Our team of experienced audiologists and hearing specialists is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-first care. With a deep understanding of hearing health and the latest advancements in audiology, we’re here to guide you toward better hearing and a better quality of life. Dr. Erek Winnett, Au.D., owns and operates Alta View Audiology. Dr. Winnett graduated from the University of Utah in 2015 with a Doctorate of Audiology. He specializes in adult hearing diagnostics, amplification, balance, and electrophysiology. His capstone project involved occupational noise exposure and how to set up a successful and safe noise management program. Dr. Winnett’s residency was with the SLC VA Medical Center, where he considered it an honor to have worked daily with our nation’s heroes. He later went on to open a community-based clinic for the VA Medical Center.

Dr. Winnett takes pride in continued growth and excellence, as it is never easy to break the mold and try new things. When not helping those with their hearing, you will find Dr. Winnett with family, working on an old Jeep, or mountain biking down one of Salt Lake City’s local trails.

Thailund Larsen is the patient care coordinator and main technician for Alta View Audiology. Her main focus every day is to create a comfortable and upbeat environment for all of the Alta View Audiology patients. It’s very important to her that everyone is well taken care of.

She graduated at the top of her class from Mountain Heights Academy in 2023. Since then, she has been dedicated to working under the supervision of Dr. Erek Winnett to help the Salt Lake community hear better than ever before! She is currently working towards obtaining her Hearing Instrument Specialist License as well.

When she’s not at the clinic, you can find Thailund doing research for her podcast, bushcraft hiking, and spending time with family.

After wearing aids for about 3 years, they just didn't seem right. I came to Alta View for a new hearing test and to see why my aids seemed off. Even though they were not purchased there, I received great customer service, and much improved hearing from these aids with adjustments and a new mold that really did the trick.
